All of us born in this unbalanced world need and deserve help to come back to balance on the inside.
I tried to solve things on my own through books and internet searches - and by pushing myself harder, until I finally broke down and gave up at 30 years of age.
Then I sought help from professionals - and what a game changer that was.
Books can be helpful - but even with books, you are still limited because you read them through your own current understanding and the book will not notice and point out to you, if you think you got it but is still missing the point. Also, reading books can be a sneaky way that our mind tricks us to avoid asking for help (which stems from deep beliefs of: I’m unworthy, they will mock me for showing vulnerability, I am alone in this world)
Real people will point out your blind angles - if they are competent on this emotional plane. And by talking to real people, it will reinforce the belief in you that: it's okay to show vulnerability and ask for help, others are there for me, I am worthy, I have some healthy “parental” figures to ask for guidance.
Recommendations
As with everything in this day and age, its about finding the diamonds in the sea of bullshit. You can find a lot of misleading “help” - for example from people who have studied therapy and understand it with their mind but do not understand and live it on a deep emotional and bodily level. They may talk about confidence or self-love but may not embody what they speak.
