When you experience strong uncomfortable feelings, stress, unease or relentless thoughts (example: “He’s so respectless!”) it is an unconscious part of you screaming for attention.
A part is a young version of yourself that got stuck in the past and pushed away to the unconscious because it wasn’t allowed to be (example: As a child, your parents denied your needs so to survive you started to hide them and push away the feeling of pain)
Ignoring it, pushing it away or “trying to be positive” may create temporary results on the surface, but will reinforce the “wrongness” of the part - and from your repressed unconscious it will keep creating more and more dysfunction until you recognise it.
We all have many different parts inside us, and thats why we can experience inner conflict.
There’s no way around but to give these parts the parenting they didnt get - basically by creating a healthy interaction between the part and your “self”(your conscious awareness)
